Before you will truly start losing weight I think you have to acquire the knowledge on how and why you lose weight. Once you have this knowledge losing weight is going to be so much easier. To start with I will show you what foods I think you should consume.

Lots of lean animal protein is a good start. Boneless and skinless chicken, egg whites and pork chops are great options. Alternatives such as alligator and kangaroo are some of the best sources but can be very expensive.

Vegetables such as asparagus, spinach, lettuce and celery are great cornerstones of a good diet. If you don't like veg then try mixing them with some peppers, herbs and spices to give it a bit of a difference. On top of these beans and nuts are a great source of energy to keep you going throughout the day.

A key part is trying to avoid certain foods like rice, pasta, bread and potatoes. These are all high in carbohydrates which stop you from losing weight.

Fluids to be consumed should be limited to water mainly, definitely try to avoid anything with sugar in it. That being said I recommend drinking wine, red wine is a source of resveratrol which is a big weight loss supplement doing the rounds today. I only recommend drinking 1-2 glasses of red wine 1 or 2 hours before going to bed.

Taking one day off per week from dieting helps to keep you motivated throughout this diet. On your day off try cram as carbs and treats as you can, this burst in calories will help to keep your metabolic rate up and aid in weight loss.

View each Off Day as the light at the end of the tunnel. Being strict and working hard will give you countless rewards also think about giving yourself a day off to pig out on the things you love this will help to keep you motivated.
